Jimmy and Hilary have spent many years in the hospitality trade. Hilary spent the early years of her career working for a major hotel chain, until Jimmy and Hilary met and married. They then bought and restored the Cuilfail Hotel in Kilmelford (a former coaching inn) which they ran for six years before moving to the Fox and Hounds in Starbotton where they spent ten years. |

They moved to Bealach in Winter 2002 and spent the the first winter, spring and most of the summer preparing the House for paying guests |

Bealach is a much smaller scale venture where they can create a friendly "houseparty" style of guest house.

Many guests have followed Jimmy and Hilary since their days at Cuilfail, having enjoyed the high quality of the accommodation and style of Hilary's cooking
